Houston, we might have a problem...

"If I could describe the Houston Texans in one character, it would be the question mark: "?"."
The Houston Texans acquired Brock Osweiler this offseason and looked to make that next step to win a Super Bowl, which Houston is hosting this year. All looked well for the Texans as they got off to a fast start, defeating the Bears 23-14, and the Chiefs 19-12. Then they laid a goose egg against the non-Tom Brady Patriots, losing 27-0, and in the process losing star defensive player JJ Watt for the rest of the year. Their defense has stayed strong though, as they go into week 9 with a 5-3 record. Their three losses to the Vikings, Patriots and Broncos, raise concerns on whether or not the Texans can beat the top dogs of the league. I think they will win their weak conference of the AFC South, but I am not confident the Texans will go far in the playoffs. Another problem is at the quarterback position. The Texans gave Brock Osweiler $72 million dollars, but Brock has not proven himself worthy of the money. In fact, after a couple of rough starts Osweiler has lost confidence in his throwing. His accuracy has teetered off and he has thrown 9 interceptions along with 9 touchdowns. For the Texans to become an elite team in the league, the offense will need to pick up their play and the defense needs to rely on guys like Whitney Mercilus and Jadeveon Clowney to step up their play to compensate for the loss of two time NFL Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt.
Will the Texans make the playoffs? If so, how far will they go?
