For March 8th, 2017, the FC Barcelona soccer team garners the performance of the day. They were seemingly down and out, in the second leg of their aggregate match against French powerhouse, Paris Saint-German (PSG). With 2 minutes plus stoppage time remaining in the match they trailed 5-3 on aggregate, thus needing 3 goals to win as PSG held a 1-0 road goal tiebreaker advantage. In the 88th minute, Neymar curled an exquisite free kick into the upper left corner to provide a lifeline for the Spanish club, and then in the first minute of stoppage time, Luis Suarez was taken down in the box earning FC Barcelona a penalty-kick. Neymar converted, and all of a sudden it was 5-5. In the final minute of stoppage time Sergi Roberto was the hero. Roberto flicked home a lofted ball to provide the game’s winning goal. The win means that FC Barcelona advances to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, while PSG is done in Champions League play. As Barcelona showed us today, it’s truly never over until it’s over. #TableTalkGo #PerformanceoftheDay
